Library Rules and Services

  • ID card is essential for availing all kinds of Library Service
  • Users should get the items duly issued at the circulation counter and collect them in person
  • Personal books, printed books, and printed materials are not allowed inside the Library
  • The Library follows Open Access system
  • Readers may approach the Reference Desk for any information or assistance regarding the Library collection and services
  • The Reference collection includes all kinds of handbooks, dictionaries, and encyclopedias Conference Proceedings and course reference books are not for circulation

  • Circulation

    All Students, faculty, and staff members are issued Library materials. Their entitled in terms of the number of books that can be borrowed by them are as follows

  • All issues and returns of Library materials are handled from the Circulation Desk during the Circulation counter from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm
  • Users are requested to make sure that the books are properly issued or returned
  • No material from the Library should be taken out without proper issue/ recording. Any type of violation may lead to disciplinary action.
  • After the due date first 15 days Rs. 1.00 fine and after the stipulated period per day Rs. 2.00 fine late fee will be charged.
  • Lost book should be replaced by the latest edition (new book) with overdue charges. In case the book is out of print or not available in the market then double of the cost mentioned in the Accession register should be charged
  • User can reserve the book by using OPAC service which is in circulation
  • Users are welcome to request books from the library which will help us to improve our library collection
  • The Library announces regularly the list of the new additions/New Arrivals of books. This facilitates drawing the attention of users towards the latest information in their fields of interest
  • The library provided the users with a modern reprographic service facility to the Faculty, students, and staff members for print / Xerox of notes and other academic-related documents
